Breaking news...

'Our website has recently undergone an exciting revamp', says Rose, 'with the aim of providing an extensive archive of both leading and emerging contemporary South African artists - as a service to our clients and readers'.

'Besides the introduction of a new, revised Artists' Section (where a complete, alphabetical list of our artists can be easily accessed), we have also added a Special Purchases section, where we offer clients a range of works of particular interest - with a distinct investment potential - by both South African and international artists.'

'The good news is that we are now offering yet another new feature , New Acquisitions - where we highlight works of interest that have just arrived in our gallery. (These are mostly new works from artists whose work we stock, or older works from these artists, which we have chosen to present for the first time) This month's artists include: Robert Slingsby, William Kentridge, Pamela Stretton, Peter Bonney, Xolile Mtakatya and Lukas van Vuuren.'.

'Our e-vites, featuring a selected Artist of the Month, are proving very popular and have elicited much interest, both locally and internationally.

Our chosen online exhibition for August is 'Some South African Voices'. This is an exciting cyber group show show by artists whose works emphasise their deep South African roots and attachments. Included are names such as Sam Nhlengethwa, Willie Bester, Zwelethu Mthethwa, Paul du Toit, Sophie Peters, Selwyn Pekeur and members of the Makhubela family, who have seemingly monopolized contemporary Shangaan beadwork in the Gauteng area.

Next month's Artist of the Month is the ceramicist Ruan Hoffmann who uses the three-dimensional surfaces of plates, bowls, tile panels and small sculptures as canvases for his icon-like images.

Through our constantly updated website, we will inform our clients of new acquisitions, exhibitions and on-going developments at Rose Korber Art.'

'Please note that we also offer clients a number of specialised services, including:
     - Advice on collecting and investing in art;
     - Assistance with framing and hanging of artworks purchased;
     - Facilitating the packing, insuring and airfreighting of these works to        anywhere in the world.
