Artist's Statement:

The prints are hand drawn on the computer, using a vector drawing program. This means that their are no pixels involved and the resolution and line is perfect and the colors are perfectly flat and clear. They are then printed using the lambda process, this is a combination of digital and traditional photographic way of printing.

The original inspiration for creating the first vector landscape was because I wanted to create the look of the full moon in the Karoo night. It was done from a photograph taken in daylight. I didn't know how to photograph in moonlight, don’t know if one can. I wanted the detail and colour in the mountains, and foreground detail. I also wanted it to be more the way one would remember a landscape than the way it actually looked. So this technique seemed perfect.
