In association with ROSE KORBER ART, The Gallery at Grande Provence held THE SUMMER SHOW 2006 at Grande Provence Estate, Main Road, Franschhoek, Cape from 5 November 2005 to 24 March 2006.

Curated by Cape Town art consultant, Rose Korber, The Summer Show featured an extensive selection of paintings, mixed media works, original prints, sculpture, ceramics, photography and contemporary beadwork by both leading and emerging, contemporary South African artists.

Artists featured included Sam Nhlengethwa, Colbert Mashile, Paul Blomkamp, John Kramer, David Koloane, Wayne Barker, Karl Gietl, Diana Hyslop, Stephen Inggs, Nina Romm, Kevin Collins and Shany van den Berg.

The Summer Show also highlighted new directions taken by 'rising stars' such as Sanell Aggenbach, JP Meyer, Peter Eastman, Alastair Whitton, Diana Page and Lallitha Jawahirilal.

The works of several leading ceramic artists featured as well, including Barbara Jackson, Louise Gelderblom, Hennie Meyer, Heather Mills and Helen Vaughan. A wide range of exciting new beadwork pieces by Martine Jackson, Carol Nathan Levin and Tamlin Blake were also on show.
