He left Zimbabwe after his A' Levels and completed a one year foundation art course at the Schüle für Gestaltung in Zürich, Switzerland. After this he relocated to South Africa where in 2001, he graduated from the Michaelis School of fine Art at the University of Cape Town with a BA (FA). He had his first solo show at João Ferreira Gallery in Cape Town titled Take Me to Your Leader in 2006. He has taken part in numerous group shows including Second to None at South African National Gallery and the Next Wave Festival in Melbourne, Australia in 2006.
