For more than 17 years, Rose Korber has played a significant role in introducing South African artists to a local as well as an international art market. Over the years, she has become widely known for showcasing the best of innovative, contemporary South African art. In a unique gallery attached to her home in Camps Bay, clients can view an extensive selection of quality paintings, mixed media works, limited-edition original prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics, Rorkesdrift tapestries and contemporary beadwork.

Earlier this year we completed the run of our 17th Art Salon which presented a comprehensive and varied overview of the current state of South African art. Artists featured included William Kentridge, Robert Hodgins, Willie Bester, Sam Nhlengethwa, Colbert Mashile, Richard Smith, Kevin Brand, Stephen Inggs, Robert Slingsby, Deborah Bell, Claudette Schreuders, Nina Romm and Wendy Anziska. Important features...

'Last year our website underwent an exciting revamp', says Rose, 'with the aim of providing an extensive archive of both leading and emerging contemporary South African artists as a service to our clients and readers'.

'Besides the introduction of a new, revised Artists' Section (where a complete, alphabetical list of our artists can be easily accessed), we have also added a Special Purchases section, where we offer clients a range of works of particular interest - with a distinct investment potential - by both South African and international artists.'

'The good news is that we are now offering yet another new feature - New Acquisitions - where we highlight works of interest that have just arrived in our gallery. (These are mostly new works from artists whose work we stock, or older works from these artists, which we have chosen to present for the first time). This month's artists include: William Kentridge, Robert Slingsby, Richard Smith, Pamela Stretton, Kate Gottgens, Peter Bonney, Ryno Reynecke, Kevin Atkinson and Lukas Van Vuuren.'

'Our e-vites, featuring a selected Artist of the Month, are proving very popular and have elicited much interest, both locally and internationally.

Our chosen exhibition for July is international photojournalist Jurgen Schadeberg, who this year celebrates 59 years in photography. His photographs bring to life key social, cultural and political events and personalities in South Africa's turbulent history from 1950 to today. To view all the works on show please click here.

Through our constantly updated website, we will inform our clients of new acquisitions, exhibitions and on-going developments at Rose Korber Art.'

'Please note that we also offer clients a number of specialised services, including:
     - Advice on collecting and investing in art;
     - Assistance with framing and hanging of artworks purchased;
     - Facilitating the packing, insuring and airfreighting of these works to        anywhere in the world.
